Marianne Juul-Dam is a trained ophthalmologist from Aarhus and Aalborg University Hospital.
She passed the European Examination of Ophthalmology (EBOD) in 2022.
Marianne works as a senior registrar at the Department of Ophthalmology Vejle Hospital and as a consultant ophthalmologist. In addition, she is part of the research group at the same department, undertaking a PhD project on myopia. The project aims to assess the prevalence of myopia among Danish schoolchildren and to investigate whether there is a difference in the amount of close work, number of breaks in close work, and time spent outdoors in daylight between myopic and non-myopic children.
Marianne has a special interest in paediatric ophthalmology due to the wide range of conditions and clinical diversity. She is fascinated by the special interaction between doctor, patient, and parents, and finds it rewarding when children leave with a smile because of the difference that’s been made.
